ACQUA DI GIÒ was a pioneering fragrance, revolutionary for the use of natural ingredients with sophisticated technical elements. Following ACQUA DI GIÒ and ACQUA DI GIÒ PROFUMO, perfumer Alberto Morillas was able to once again translate ACQUA DI GIÒ’s manifesto of strength and freedom into a scent. With ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU a fresh signature has been created, using marine notes and patchouli. The patchouli provides the perfect balance between the aquatic fragrance and the woody aromas, creating true masculinity with a sensual twist that is at the heart of ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU.


For ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU, a patchouli has exclusively been sourced from Guatemala, establishing an economically viable supply. It offers distinct tonalities, with a modern and pure character, used in its pure state patchouli is one of nature’s true jewels and the scent of its leaves has the same strength, the same power and the same depth as wood. For ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU, this alliance of wood and aquatic freshness makes patchouli nature’s perfect ingredient. The natural sensuality of ACQUA DI GIÒ ABSOLU is encapsulated by its own unique bottle design. This design reflects the mysterious freshness of the fragrance, where refined luxury meets nature’s perfect symmetry. At the top the natural wooden cap made from ash, which is derived from sustainable production, then lacquered and engraved with the iconic Giorgio Armani monogram. The almost luminous amber-coloured juice beneath creates a link to wood, to warmness and the inescapable allure of nature, and is encased by a strong, durable glass. In between the two, unifying the elements, the cool metallic collar reflects the emphatic and sensual power of water. Together the cap and the collar merge, reflecting the wooden and aquatic accords of the fragrance itself.
