DU RHÔNE

This master chocolatier initiated in 1875 on Rue du Rhone, Paris, the brand quickly forged a solid reputation and soon the upper echelons of the belle époque were flocking to the door. With the famous recipes kept in a secret safe, DU RHÔNE’s irresistible little treats have conquered the world. A name found in the most prestigious guidebooks such as California’s Goldbook or Gault & Millau, which has awarded prizes for its Moccas Glacés. No effort is spared in the quest for perfection; immense subtle care is taken in preparation, right up to the finishing touches as well as a meticulous ingredients selection. Master chocolatier, Mr. Jean-Pascal Sérignat and his team offer a blend of passion, excellence, skill and creativity that surprise the palate. Le chocolat de H

Hironobu Tsujiguchi is a third generation Japanese-sweets artisan, and founded the first Le Chocolat H boutique in 2003. Chocolatier Tsujiguchi fuses Japanese and French cultures and expresses seasonal flavours in its creations. Hironobu saw the Japanese ingredients and culture alongside his expertise as a patisserier and chocolatier, which led to the opening of 13 Le Chocolat de H boutiques around the globe, all with varying concepts. The master chocolatier holds qualifications of sweets concierge in 200 places and is a solid contribution to the development and education of sweets in Japan. ‘Le chocolat de H’ is recognised as a top chocolate brand internationally, which integrates the scent and taste of cacao from all over the world combined with Japanese ingredients and cultures, turning the two elements into a unparalleled piece of chocolate. This Japanese brand pursues the possibility of cacao with a mind of ‘Omotenashi’ – a Japanese noun to ‘entertain guests wholeheartedly’.

 

T’A Milano

The history of the confectioner’s family tradition dates back to the early twentieth century when Gioacchino Alemagna was employed as a helper in a shop and only a few years later, after the First World War, seized the opportunity to build a success which characterised the history of Italian desserts. The expansion occurred with the birth of the first luxury bakeries in the city centres of Milan and Rome. Today, T’a Milano is the synthesis of history and innovation, quality and refinement, a new way, full of spontaneity, to propose the excellence and the class of Made in Italy. Rococo

Rococo Chocolates aims to be the very best manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of United Kingdom’s most ethical luxury chocolates. A luxury award-winning London based chocolate company, founded by Chantal Coady OBE has been pioneering the real chocolate movement since 1983. Armed with a little knowledge, a dangerous passion for chocolate and a belief that there was room for a radically different approach to chocolate, Chantal decided to open a shop on the King’s Road (Chelsea, London). 26 years later and the author of three books about chocolate, she still pushes forward to boundaries of chocolate retailing with three shops in London – the original Kings Road store, Marylebone High Street, and a new flagship store with its own café, kitchen and chocolate school on Motcomb St in the heart of Belgravia.

Chantal Coady and Rococo Chocolates were awarded a special prize for ‘changing the way people think about chocolate’ at the Academy of Chocolate Awards 2008.
