Flat6Labs Beirut Graduates Ten Startups during its First Demo Day

Flat6Labs Beirut, a startup seed program and early stage fund, hosted its very first Demo Day during ArabNet Beirut 2018 digital conference at the Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand Hotel. The Demo Day introduced the ten startups from Flat6Labs Beirut’s first seed program cycle, which supported a diverse group of entrepreneurs tackling solutions across an array of industries including hardware, fintech, edtech, adtech, hospitality, video production and enterprise solutions.

The graduation of the very first batch of startups from Flat6Labs Beirut marks a significant milestone for Flat6Labs, which aims  to accelerate the growth rate of Lebanese startups and provide a steady pipeline to the rapidly-growing Lebanese venture capital ecosystem. The Demo Day is designed to showcase the graduating startups, acting as a platform for founders to present their products and services to a select audience of potential investors, the media and the greater business community, as well as to provide them with business growth, networking and scaling opportunities.

“We are very happy and proud to be part of this dynamic and rapidly evolving ecosystem in Lebanon. The entrepreneurs in this first cycle have been truly amazing and inspiring. We look forward to being the launchpad for many more to come.” said Hany al-Sonbaty, Chairman of Flat6Labs.

Omar Christidis, CEO of ArabNet, “Innovation can and should be the next driver of the Lebanese economy, allowing it to compete regionally and globally.  We’re excited to celebrate with Flat6Labs Beirut on the graduation of their first cycle of startups, and to be supporting a launchpad for innovative Lebanese businesses that can transform the Lebanese economy.”
