Ford Conservation and Environmental Grants Awards $100,000 to 10 Organisations Across Middle East and North Africa in 2017
  • Jordan provided all top three entries in the Environmental Education category, with the top project being the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) and its “Nature Ranger” programme for students
  • In Tunisia, Notre Grand Bleu was awarded US$15,000 to help tackle the detrimental issue of turtle by-catch (Natural Environment), while Morocco’s “Go Energyless” Conservation Engineering project earned recognition for its vision to provide affordable energy efficient products to the country’s most isolated areas
  • Since its inception in 2000, the Ford Grants has now supported in excess of 200 projects across the Middle East and North Africa, with $1.71 million granted to date, including the added incentive of financial rewards for Best in Research, and Best in Engaging Local Communities
