IFP holds a celebratory lunch in honor of the Press under the Patronage of Minister Riachi

Under the patronage of the Minister of Information Melhem Riachi, IFP Group (International Fairs & Promotions) held today a lunch ceremony in celebration of the Press at “Em Sherif” restaurant – Achrafieh. The organizers also announced the launch of the 22nd edition of Project Lebanon, the International Trade Exhibition for Construction Materials and Equipment for Lebanon and the Middle East. Held under the Patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers, H.E. Mr. Saad Hariri, Project Lebanon returns to BIEL, Beirut from 16 to 19 May 2017.

The lunch ceremony welcomed Mr. Andre Kassas, representing the Minister of Information Mr. Melhem Riachi, as well as 60 press figures and representatives of both the Press Syndicate and the Syndicate of Press Editors. IFP’s chairman, Mr. Albert Aoun indicated that the construction and related businesses (real estate, architecture and engineering, etc.) are still Lebanon’s largest sectors, and that the country’s new situation and the positive results it is already inducing, is positively reflected in Project Lebanon.

Mr. Aoun, said in that context that Project Lebanon 2017 is welcoming 450 companies from over 20 countries including France, Italy, Turkey, Cyprus, Hungary, India, Kuwait, and KSA.

With more than 22,000 visitors, Project Lebanon is the largest and busiest business event in the Levant continued Mr. Aoun, confirming that Project Lebanon aims to satisfy all market demands with its concurrent events that include Energy Lebanon: the 7th International Trade Exhibition for Power, Electrical Engineering, Alternative Energy, Lighting and HVAC.

Mr. Aoun added that the exhibition is expected to boost the country’s expanding construction and energy networks, especially through its highly-anticipated features for 2017 which include:

Syrian Business Forum: a specialized conference to discuss the impact of the Syrian crisis on Lebanon, and the latter’s challenges, opportunities, and role in this context, held on May 17.

EcOrient Conference: the 6th International Conference for Environmental Technologies, Sustainability, and Clean Energy, held on May 18.
