Mon Guerlain Eau de Toilette reveals an unexpected facet.

Like a perfume, femininity is composed over a lifetime; it is continually evolving. Mon Guerlain Eau de Toilette therefore invites you to discover a new facet of many-sided femininity. An unexpected facet that emphasises the exhilarating pleasure there is in surprising others and being surprised.

M A N D A R I N

It takes centre stage, with a vibrant and joyful play on the top notes. This tangy citrus zest blends with the freshness of an overdose of beautiful Carla lavender.

We then find Sambac jasmine and vanilla Tahitensis, raw ingredients that make up Mon Guerlain’s fragrance signature.
Perfumers’ notes

An ardent feminist, Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s Master Perfumer, continues his exploration of the feminine and its different facets:
“As I have often said, during my travels
I have been able to see that women are the
backbone of society and the economy, and I
am fascinated by their commitment on every
front. With Mon Guerlain Eau de Toilette,
I am paying tribute to their everyday commitment
and their talent for being open to
surprises. The decision to accentuate the
lavender is my way of expressing rectitude,
purity and stamina, because it takes courage
for this incredible blue flower to develop
in arid ground and manage to express such a
powerful scent. Mandarin reflects the ability
to joyfully accept surprises with pleasure.”


For Delphine Jelk, Guerlain Perfumer, who co- created Mon Guerlain with him:
“We decided to emphasise the freshness by
overdosing Carla lavender and mandarin.
We wanted to celebrate femininity through this
simple and joyful freshness. Isn’t authenticity
the true luxury?”
An exceptional bottle
Inspired by the iconic Quadrilobé bottle created by Baccarat in 1908, the Mon Guerlain bottle plays with complementary opposites, as if echoing the multiple facets of femininity. The taut lines of the bottle and the roundness of the stopper, density and lightness, the transparency of light through the glass and the radiance of white gold.

 

Behind the scenes
For this new campaign shot in Paris at the Guerlain boutique at 68, Champs-Elysées, Guerlain is continuing to explore the genre of iconic portraits with the choice of Mathieu César. This young French photographer, who divides his time between Paris, New York and Los Angeles, has a powerful and timeless photographic style that has earned him work with the most prestigious magazines. By playing with the light to capture the different facets of her personality, he successfully conveys Angelina Jolie’s strength, softness, sensuality and elegance in a single shot.
