Credit Libanais is pleased to announce that Mrs. Randa Bdeir has joined the Bank as Head of Electronic Payment Solutions & Cards Technology.

With more than 25 years of experience in electronic payments and card technology, Randa Bdeir has led key strategic initiatives that have significantly advanced the electronic payments industry in Lebanon and the region. Mrs. Bdeir pioneered the introduction of the card business to the Lebanese and the Syrian market, and she played a major role in hosting and developing innovative payment products in the Lebanese market including, and not limited to, the e-commerce, the contactless & NFC technologies.

 

As a result, she has always received many awards in recognition of her accomplishments, both regionally and internationally. Most significantly, she became the first Arab woman to be a member of the board of Directors of MasterCard Worldwide for the SAMEA Region till present.

 

She was ranked among the top 70 Arab women. She was also elected as “MasterCard Champion” for contributing considerably to MasterCard’s business growth. She was additionally recognized by the Arab Banking Conference as the best Arab woman contributor to the credit card payment system in the Arab world, Randa Bdeir holds a Master’s degree in Money & Banking from the American University of Beirut.

 

She continuously thrives to update her knowledge and education related to various topics, which include management, marketing, and technology by attending executive programs from renowned universities such as MIT and Stanford. She has also been a speaker at numerous regional conferences and events and has written a series of card and risk-related publications.
